Ionatamishvili writes on social media that business brought 3,000 tons of fuel into Abkhazia and that all of this happened in full compliance with Georgia’s sovereignty and legislation.

“Yesterday and the coordinated attack by the radical opposition operating in our country on the attempt to restore Georgian-Abkhaz relations, the hysteria they organized against reconciliation once again showed that if Georgia’s political field is not cleansed of this unpatriotic agency, the country will remain in constant fluctuations and political turbulence.

Let us simply analyze the agency’s yesterday’s hysteria. During the day it becomes known that business brought fuel into Abkhazia with several tankers. Clearly, all of this happened in full compliance with Georgia’s sovereignty and legislation. This was 3,000 tons, that is, several trucks.

And what happens after this? Without exception, every agent lined up and began spreading one message, as if this cargo was intended for the Russian military forces and they almost declared Georgia, their formal homeland, a co-participant in the war.

Russia’s annual fuel consumption exceeds 200 million tons, while the cargo sent by business to Abkhazia is 3,000 tons. 0.001% of Russia’s consumption. Isn’t it ridiculous to talk about these few tankers being intended to supply Russia? Clearly it is ridiculous, but when you are an agent, if they assign you to assert such absurdity, you must carry it out without a word.

On the other hand, since these people have the constant assignment of destabilizing our country, disorder and chaos, they clearly cannot tolerate any humanitarian steps by the authorities that contribute to the restoration of trust between Georgians and Abkhazians and the process of reconciliation. Moreover - in accordance with the assignment of their patrons, the agency will do everything so that these problematic relations are not resolved, but rather that the processes go even deeper into a dead end, so that Georgia is constantly under the threat of escalation and difficult challenges…
