Vakhtang Tsintsadze: Record export figures are recorded in July - we have 30% growth; local production and exports are increasing, which means that products manufactured in Georgia are competitive

Record export figures are recorded in July; specifically, we have 30% growth and the export indicator amounts to 792 million US dollars, - stated Deputy Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development Vakhtang Tsintsadze when assessing last month’s export figures.

According to him, the January-July export figures are also record-breaking and, in fact, equal 4.7 billion US dollars.

“Of course, these results once again confirm the correct policy of the Government of Georgia, which is aimed at supporting local entrepreneurship. We see the results that are created by the development of local production in the country - local production is growing, exports are growing, which means that products manufactured in Georgia are competitive not only on the local but also on international markets,” - noted Vakhtang Tsintsadze.

In July 2026, record figures were also recorded in terms of trade turnover - 2,495.4 million US dollars, which is 12.4% higher than the corresponding period of the previous year. As for the January-July trade turnover data, it increased by 7.5% and also equalled a record 15,517.6 million US dollars.

Vakhtang Tsintsadze emphasises that the existing positive trends recorded in foreign trade will be translated into various economic parameters.

“Georgia has one of the highest economic growth rates during the first six months. Our expectation is that these trends will be maintained and continue in the coming months as well,” - stated the Deputy Minister.
