According to the Ministry of Internal Affairs, Adjara Television and Radio journalist Koba Partenadze has been detained for verbal insults committed against a police officer at different times, as well as for minor hooliganism. The agency told InterpressNews that on 16 August Koba Partenadze verbally insulted law enforcement officers at the police department.

“Koba Partenadze was detained under Articles 166 and 173 of the Code of Administrative Offences for verbal insults committed against the police at different times, as well as for minor hooliganism.

On 16 August, while being questioned as a witness in one of the criminal cases related to him, Koba Partenadze verbally insulted law enforcement officers - administrative proceedings were initiated regarding this fact.

In addition, during the night hours of 17 August in Batumi, the said person was disturbing public order by loud swearing and cursing. Law enforcement officers repeatedly called on him to stop the unlawful action, but he did not obey the police officers’ demand and insulted the police officers,” the agency states.
