Nika Gvaramia: That propaganda presented what I said about Pashinyan as a parallel with Abkhazia, when in the same place I say that the example of Pashinyan and Armenia has no connection to the Georgian-Abkhaz issue, does not surprise me - propaganda’s business is lies

That propaganda presented what I said about Pashinyan as a parallel with Abkhazia, when in the same interview I say that the example of Pashinyan and Armenia has no connection to the Georgian-Abkhaz issue, truly does not surprise me - propaganda’s business is lies, - Coalition for Change leader Nika Gvaramia writes on social media.

“Kotsis, so do you want war?!

From the morning, television company ‘Imedi’ has been telling its viewers that the vision I expressed on air on ‘Formula’ about returning Abkhazia without war is handing Abkhazia over to Russia.

So what does that mean - if you want the return of Abkhazia, that means you also want war, and if you do not want war, that means you do not want the return of Abkhazia either.

‘Kotsis’, make up your minds: do you want war? Or do you not want the return of Abkhazia?

The Georgian people want neither war, and at the same time they do want the return of Abkhazia. And the task of a politician is to unite these two things and find a solution in that way. In this issue, as in other fundamental issues, I believe the function of a politician is precisely this: to set the task, to take into account the people’s opinion, and finally to solve the problem this way. The art of a politician lies in this.

I repeat once again that I see the mood of the population of Georgia as follows:

We must necessarily regain Abkhazia and Samachablo;

We do not want war;

And yes, I consider this possible and I also have my own view of how we can do it so that we regain Abkhazia without war and generally exclude any war on the territory of Georgia once and for all.

There are also those who think differently: those who imagine the return of Abkhazia through war or a special operation; those who cannot imagine the return of Abkhazia at all; those who are not interested in the return of Abkhazia at all, and so on. They simply do not/cannot fully name what they want and how they imagine it.

P.S. Now, that propaganda presented what I said about Pashinyan as a parallel with Abkhazia, when in the same interview I say that the example of Pashinyan and Armenia has no connection to the Georgian-Abkhaz issue, that truly does not surprise me - propaganda’s business is lies. I am more surprised by others who say this: look at the broadcast, friends - I have never heard of writing a comment or a status without having seen it and just by hearsay. Especially on an issue of such importance,” - Nika Gvaramia writes on social media.
