Davit Vardiashvili has been appointed General Director of the Georgian State Electrosystem

The Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development, Mariam Kvrivishvili, introduced the new head, Davit Vardiashvili, to the employees of the Georgian State Electrosystem.

According to the ministry’s press service, the minister congratulated the new General Director on his appointment and wished him successful work. She also thanked the former head of the Georgian State Electrosystem, Vano Zardiashvili, for his work.

“Vano Zardiashvili left the position on the basis of his own application.

Davit Vardiashvili has many years of work experience in the public service and in the field of state administration. At various times he held the position of General Director of the ‘Georgian Gas Transportation Company,’ was Director for Financial Issues of the ‘Georgian Oil and Gas Corporation,’ and worked in the positions of member/director of the Board of Directors of the ‘Georgian State Electrosystem.’ In 2022-2025 he was the First Deputy State Representative - Governor in the Samtskhe-Javakheti region. In 2016-2017 he was Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs. He also worked for 14 years in the structures of the Revenue Service.

Davit Vardiashvili has been awarded the academic degree of Doctor of Technical Sciences, is an Academician of the Georgian Engineering Academy, and is the author of a scientific monograph and numerous technical-scientific works,” the Ministry of Economy and Sustainable Development states.
