The brother of the wife of former Prime Minister Irakli Garibashvili, Aleksandre Tamazashvili, responds to the bringing of a new charge against Garibashvili and is circulating an extract from the Public Registry.
“As the Prosecutor’s Office claims, the crime occurred in 2023, and part of the money transferred by witness Zurab Tukvadze was, in several stages, handed over to Irakli Garibashvili.
This is an extract from the Public Registry which confirms that in the same year 2023 witness Tukvadze transferred a country house located in Tskneti to Burchuladze’s wife’s brother, Vasil Mkheidze.
Presumably, Juansher Burchuladze brought and handed over several rooms of this house as a bribe to Irakli…” Tamazashvili writes.
For information, a new charge has been brought against the former Prime Minister of Georgia, Irakli Garibashvili, who is in detention. The corresponding statement was made at a briefing held at the General Prosecutor’s Office. As Deputy General Prosecutor Amiran Guluashvili stated, the case concerns a corruption crime, specifically the taking of a particularly large amount of money.
