As part of the pardons granted in connection with the Mariamoba holiday, 26-year-old Guram Khutashvili and 23-year-old Daniel Mumladze, who were detained during the protests, have also been released. They had been accused of damaging video cameras installed by the 112 emergency service at various locations on Rustaveli Avenue.

Both had been sentenced to three years in prison.

For the record, Guram Khutashvili and Daniel Mumladze were arrested during the ongoing protests. They were charged under Article 187, Part 2 of the Criminal Code, which concerns damage to another person’s property. The charge carries a sentence of three to six years in prison.

At this point, it is known that those pardoned by President Mikheil Kavelashvili in connection with the Mariamoba holiday also include Saba Jikia, Fridon Bubuteishvili, Simon Makharadze, and Davit Khomeriki, who were detained during various protests.

Georgian President Mikheil Kavelashvili pardoned a total of 226 people in connection with the Mariamoba holiday.
