There is no basis to claim that the government of Georgia blames our country for the start of the war - if the Georgian Dream had not come to power, then the name of the perpetrator would have remained in Georgia, - the First Vice-Speaker of the Parliament, Gia Volski, stated at the plenary session of the Parliament.

According to him, for the Georgian government, "the main thing is the ongoing process of building trust."

"There are no prerequisites, no grounds to claim that the Georgian government is blaming our country for the outbreak of the war. I can recall hundreds of cases of comments made by the current government, even by people of that period who did not shy away from discussing in a free space. Many questions remain, and if you answer these questions in full, you will understand that there was a conspiracy. Why was there all the talk about Russia not being interested in the Tskhinvali region in general, not being interested in Abkhazia?! That Russia is calling on the Georgian government, the provocateurs-separatists, to come to Moscow to discuss what is happening?! Until the afternoon of August 8, there was no talk about the Russian Federation posing a threat in terms of occupation in the country. Why didn't they withdraw the population?! Why were they forcing the structures illegally created by the state to remain in that region?! Even the people who worked there showed courage. If it weren't for the principled position of 1-2 people, there would have been much more victims among the civilian population.

Why did they sign such a resolution, which states that Georgia is the reason why the war started and became large-scale? This issue should be discussed in a completely different context, and not primitively - did the war start on the 7th, or on the 8th. Where did it start, how was it developing, and who had what interest in this?! Why wasn't the alarm raised in July?! Why wasn't the Security Council addressed, so that everyone knew that military moves were taking place beyond the Roki tunnel?! These are the issues.

Today, the trend continues, and now the idea of ​​somehow creating a new center of confrontation has taken on a new form, new strength. Our policy is based on one main goal - to create such a situation, such a degree of trust, that when a certain period, time comes, we should build a certain building of a full-scale political settlement. This requires patient and intensive, planned and moderate work. We are moving in this direction.

I am talking about communities of political opinions - despite the radical difference, the task is one - so that our children today look at each other not through the sights of a gun, but look into the eyes. A stable attitude is needed to create a healthy future.

I will remind my fellow opponents - if the "Georgian Dream" had not come to power, the name of the perpetrator of Georgia would have been preserved, and those rather difficult cases that our lawyers won in the Strasbourg court would not have been won.

The main thing for us today is the policy of building trust, the process that is underway, and with these false statements and subversive invasion of the propaganda field, of course, we will be seriously damaged," Volski said.
