Russia has the potential for cooperation with Iran, Mongolia, North Korea, Azerbaijan and Georgia, Deputy Secretary of the Russian Security Council Alexei Shevtsov said at the Eastern Economic Forum in Vladivostok.

According to Shevtsov, “Russia can offer friendly and neutral countries useful models of interregional economic cooperation.”

“Russia, of course, can offer useful models of interregional cooperation, and we do this with states such as China, Belarus, and Kazakhstan. We do this with all friendly and neutral countries. We have significant potential for cooperation with Iran, Mongolia, North Korea, Azerbaijan, Georgia, and many other countries,” Shevtsov said.

According to Shevtsov, “interregional ties should develop from simple trade and exchange of goods to the creation of joint production chains.”
