“Georgian Dream” supporters are starting demonstrations from November 11 across Georgia. The demonstrations under the slogan “I Protect Freedom” will be held in big cities of the country until the second round runoff.
The organizers told InterPressNews that a final rally will be held a day before the election day at the First Republic Square at 5:00pm.
Member of Tbilisi City Assembly (Sakrebulo) Vato Shakarashvili, who is the member of the movement “I Protect Freedom”, told InterPressNews that they are organizing the rallies to urge the population to say no to the return of the “National Movement”.
“I join the movement “I Protect Freedom” not as a politician or a representative of any political party, but as a citizen.
The people are consolidated and united guarding the values, gained by the Georgian society, led by Bidzina Ivanishvili in 2012. The society paid a very high price for it,” Vato Shakarashvili said.
According to him, the first meeting is planned to be held in Telavi city, Kakheti region of Georgia,” then in Batumi, Kutaisi, Rustavi and everywhere we will manage within the short deadlines we have,” Vato Shakarashvili said.
