The Germany-France-Georgia trilateral format indicates Georgia's important position on the agenda of leading European states, - Minister of Foreign Affairs Davit Zalkaliani said on Thursday.

The Minister welcomes trilateral political consultations at the level of Deputy Ministers of Foreign Affairs of Georgia, Germany and France, which took place in Paris.

“The trilateral format of Germany-France-Georgia political consultations is a new initiative that we actively discussed during my visit to Germany and later, with French colleagues during German Chancellor's visit to Georgia. As a result of it, a trilateral political consultations has been formed. We welcome that the most important EU countries and our partners give positive assessment to this format. It emphasizes the fact that Georgia holds an important position on the agenda of the leading European countries such as Germany and France, "said Zalkaliani.

A trilateral political consultations between the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Georgia, Ministry of Europe and Foreign Affairs of France and Federal Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Germany were held on November 14 in Paris.
