Ministry of Internal Affairs of Georgia has released a statement regarding the death of a member of National Movement, Nika Rurua.

The agency says that according to the preliminary information, Nika Rurua died in the presence of family members, presumably of heart attack.

Investigation has been launched under article 115 of the Criminal Code of Georgia.

Nika Rurua was 50 years old. He had been a Member of Parliament and Minister of Culture.
