Tbilisi City Assembly (Sakrebulo) has approved new regulations for taxis that will enter into force from October of 2019.

Beka Davituliani, chairperson of the faction "Georgian Dream", told InterPressNews that the majority endorsed the issue at today’s meeting. The new regulations envisage two categories of license - "A" and "B" categories.

The category "A" taxis are a white color, left-hand drive, five-door cabs, which will enjoy free parking spaces. The electric vehicles providing the taxi service will enjoy free parking at any parking space. The category "B" taxis are not required to be painted white. They will be obliged to provide only cab booking service, "said Beka Davituliani.
