339 255 citizens of Georgia made 553 748 trips in Schengen member countries from March 28, 2017, after Georgia was granted visa-free travel with the European Union, through December 9, 2018,- InterPressNews was informed by the Ministry of Internal Affairs.
According to the MIA statistics, Germany is the most visited country by the citizens of Georgia during the mentioned period - 135 884 visits, followed by Italy with 80 520 visits, Greece is the third with a total of 68 807 visits, Poland - 42 054 visits, Spain was visited 40 914 times, France - 39 120 visits, Hungary -24 120, Cyprus was visited 18 258 time and Austria was visited 16 293 times during the mentioned period.
The regulation letting Georgian citizens travel to the Schengen Zone without a visa came into full effect on March 28, 2017.
