The first stage of reorganization at the Presidential Administration of Georgia is starting from today, - Khatia Moistsrapishvili, Press Speaker of the President of Georgia, has said.

According to her, a new Constitution, determining new rights and obligations of the President of Georgia, entered into force on December 17. Therefore, staff employed at the Presidential Administration is reduced to 60, according to the Law on Budget of Georgia.

“Considering the fact that the new budget is set for 60 employees, the Presidential Administration announced the reorganization process on December 31, 2018. On January 15, the policy will already be developed and requirements for these staff units will be determined.

As you are aware, the new Presidential Administration staff is not large, hence it must be very flexible and efficient in order the President of Georgia to exercise her power in the most effective way.

The first stage of reorganization will begin on January 15. At the first stage, proposals will be made for the current employees, depending on how their qualifications meet the requirements. The second stage will begin on February 15. At the second stage, all the currently employed people who do not or cannot meet the requirements will be transferred to the public bureau. Obviously, the public bureau will try to choose appropriate positions for them in the public sector across the country.

After that, if the public bureau cannot propose suitable positions to some of the employees, or they are not able to meet the requirements, they will receive a three-month remuneration in compensation,” Khatia Moistsrapishvili said.
