The murder of Sandro Girgvliani and the movement started by his mother, Irina Enukidze, changed the history of Georgia, - Ana Dolidze, non-judge member of the Supreme Council of Justice, told journalists when commenting on the murder of Sandro Girgvliani.
According to Ana Dolidze, the fight against "violent system" has not yet been completed and Levan Murusidze, the then judge of the Girgvliani case, has now become the mascot of the Georgian Dream.
"We said very loudly then that violence by the state bodies against its citizens was unacceptable. But I am very sorry to say that the fight against violence has not ended. We have recently received Levan Murusidze as a judge with life tenure and he is now a mascot of the Georgian Dream.
Fight against violence, fight for making the government to value and respect people, continues. In this case it has a different form - we are fighting for the establishment of independence in the court. Today we are going to recall all this and most importantly, thank Sandro Girgvliani's family for what they did for us," Dolidze said.
Sandro Girgvliani was found dead at the Okrokana cemetery on October 28, 2006.
