Levan Gogichaishvili: Legal Committee is becoming a branch of Council of Justice and this is a tragedy for me

“These people do not feel that they are MPs. How can they make decisions instead of their party members?” - majority MP Levan Gogichaishvili MP asked.

He responded to the statement of Anri Okhanashvili, according to which, the bill drafted by 9 MPs relating to judges has to be tested to check if it is in line with the Constitution.

According to Gogichaishvili, the Speaker spoke on behalf of the majority yesterday and Anri Okhanashvili also continues to insult his colleagues today.

"How Anri Okhanashvili should know who decision Kakulia or Zoidze will make or who they will support? How can he talk on behalf of them? Similar statements are insulting.

As for the draft law, it is constitutional. The Legal Committee and not the draft law needs to be tested. Unfortunately, the Legal Committee is becoming a branch of Council of Justice and this is a tragedy for me," said Gogichaishvili.
