Georgia’s PM named as Young Global Leader

The World Economic Forum has named Georgia’s Prime Minister Mamuka Bakhtadze as a young global leader. The Forum of Young Global Leaders, the World Economic Forum’s foundation for remarkable leaders under 40, was founded to fuel new models of leadership. Every year, the organization seeks out changemakers with the grit, foresight and potential to improve the state of the world.

“Mamuka Bakhtadze is Prime Minister of Georgia, having progressed into the role from being Minister of Finance and Special Representative of the New Silk Road. He started his career in the transport and energy sectors, and promises to usher in liberal reforms, European Union membership, and NATO membership for this South Caucasus country,” the organization says.
