UNM holds its 8 th congress in Tbilisi

The eighth congress of the opposition “United National Movement” party has been held at the Biltmore hotel in Tbilisi. The elected Grigol Vashadze as a chairman and Koba Nakopia - as an Executive Secretary of the party. Today, a new Political Council was also approved.

Nika Melia was elected as a chairman of the National Movement's Political Council. Members of the Council were joined by former First Lady Sandra Roelofs, Zaal Udumashvili, Mamuka Chikovani, Murtaz Zodelava, Dimitri Shashkin, Khatia Dekanoidze, Levan Khabeishvili, Badri Basishvili, Nika Vacheishvili and others.

The voting procedure was carried out using the electronic system. The eighth congress of the National Movement party was attended by the members and supporters of the party, as well as representatives of other opposition parties.
