President of Georgia Salome Zurabishvili believes that the Geneva International Discussions format needs to be changed into a higher-level of diplomatic and political dialogue.
“The Geneva International Discussions format to resolve the conflict in Georgia's Occupied Territories needs to be changed into a higher-level of diplomatic and political dialogue. We cannot resolve our conflict with a format that merely addresses technical issues,” Salome Zurabishvili has tweeted.
President's Spokesperson also spoke about the Geneva format at the press conference today. According to Khatia Moistsrapishvili, the Geneva format does not respond to political demands and therefore the President believes that it is necessary to update this format.
"The President of Georgia states that here is a need to conduct a high political dialogue and format regarding occupied territories of Georgia, which be the tool of political decisions. It’s necessary our partners to permanently remind Russia its obligations and to call for fulfilment of these obligations- this is the message of the President of Georgia, "- said Moistsrapishvili.
