According to Gia Volski, one of the leaders of the parliamentary majority, Bidzina Ivanishvili wants that the recommendations of the Venice Commission be taken into account.

“Bidzina Ivanishvili has a steady stance that the opinions and proposals of competent international organizations should be taken into account as much as possible, including regarding this issue”, Gia Volski said.

The Venice Commission published a report on the draft law relating to the appointment of Supreme Court judges yesterday.

The Parliament of Georgia is discussing the draft law in the second reading today.
