Russian President Vladimir Putin congratulates the CIS member states and the citizens of Georgia and Ukraine on the Day of Victory over fascism, the Kremlin press service said.

“On this great holiday, we gratefully commemorate the exemplary heroism of our fellow citizens, who protected their land and saved the world from fascist aggression. We honor the heroes who bravely fought against the invaders in the battlefield and worked hard behind the battlefield. Our common duty is to keep the memory of their heroes and the sacrifice made by them, to care for veterans,” reads the letter of congratulation by Vladimir Putin.
