Confrontation occurs in Zugdidi polling station N9

Confrontation has occurred in Zugdidi polling station N9. The situation was allegedly aggravated after it was found out that one of the persons had a voters’ register.

Representatives of the united opposition and Georgian Dream opposed each other. During the incident, one of the persons hit a journalist, due to which, he was detained by police.

"We do not know who the person was, but we know that he was a provocateur, who physically assaulted a journalist. Police arrested him and the same will happen to all provocateurs.

We are here to observe the election process”, said Tina Bokuchava, a member of the united opposition.

According to her, representatives of the united opposition have videos showing how voters are allegedly bribed.

“Our representatives told me they have video footage. I have not yet seen them yet, but we will present them to public after we get them”, she said.
