CEC early results : GD candidate wins mayoral elections with 50,75% in Zestaponi

"Georgian Dream" candidate Giorgi Goglichidze is winning the extraordinary mayoral elections in Zestaponi municipality, according to the preliminary results of all the 53 polling stations. The Central Election Commission (CEC) of Georgia said that Giorgi Goglichidze of the “Georgian Dream” party garnered 50,75% (12 876) of votes, who is followed by Bakar Khijakadze of the “United Opposition”, who received 34,26% of votes.

According to the CEC, the following candidates obtained the votes more than one percent:: Giorgi Tsulaia of the “Free Georgia” - 5,81%; Vakhtang Robakidze of the initiative group - 5,07%; Anzor Nebieridze of the “Davit Tarkhan-Mouravi- Irma Inashvili” - 2,64%.
