CEC : Voter turnout was 41,23% at 8:00pm

18 105 voters, accounting for 41,23% of all registered voters, cast ballot in today’s MP by-elections in Mtatsminda constituency of Tbilisi by 8:00 pm, Ana Mikeladze, the Spokesperson of the Central Election Commission (CEC), said at a briefing.

Voter turnout was 41,23% at 8:00 pm in the first round of by-elections on May 19.

Two candidates – # 41 Vladimer Kakhadze (Georgian Dream-Democratic Georgia) and # 13 Shalva Shavgulidze (European Georgia-Free Democrats) were facing each other in the second round of the elections.

Vote count is underway as 31 polling stations closed at 8pm.
