Tbilisi City Hall declares amnesty on buildings, which are built but are not put in operation

Tbilisi City Hall has declared an amnesty on the buildings, which are already built but are not put in the operation, Tbilisi Mayor Kakha Kaladze said at the Cabinet meeting on Wednesday.

According to Kaladze, amnesty will be granted within the legislative amendments on illegal constructions and construction violations. The Tbilisi Mayor said that amnestied buildings must meet certain criteria.

Kakha Kaladze said that there are about 600 objects in the capital, which have been built but have not been put into the operation.

“We are issuing the amnesty in order to put these building into operation, but the similar violations will be a criminal offense in the future. Amnesty will not apply to the safety violations and the violations in connection with the city's visual image. Amnesty will apply to the construction violations revealed until May 16, 2019, "Kakha Kaladze said.
