Russian Ombudsman asks Georgia's Public Defender to protect rights of Russian citizens being in Georgia

Russian Ombudsman Tatiana Moskalkova asks Georgia's Public Defender Nino Lomjaria to help in protecting the rights of Russian citizens being in Georgia, "Interfax" has reported.

According to Moskalakova, the crew of the Russian TV Channel "Rassia 24" was attacked by nationalists and thousands of Russian tourists were forced to return to their homeland. The Russian Ombudsman claims that the rights of the Russian delegation and its head Sergei Gavrilov was violated at the session of the Parliamentary Assembly on Orthodoxy.

Tatiana Moskalkova says that the "ongoing processes in Tbilisi is a source of deep concern."
