Bidzina Gegidze: I will decide whether to leave the majority or not after the list of the Supreme Court judicial candidates is submitted to the parliament

I will decide whether to leave the majority or not after the list of the Supreme Court judicial candidates is submitted to the parliament, - Bidzina Gegidze, a member of the parliamentary majority, said at a news conference today.

The lawmaker said he was not optimistic about the list.

“I have not studied the list published by the Council of Justice. I have to study it. I feel great responsibility for this list. However, the whole process does not give me the ground to feel optimistic. After the list of the Supreme Court judicial candidates is submitted to the parliament, I will decide whether to leave the majority or not. I will also see if the majority will support this list”, Bidzina Gegidze said.

As for the question of whether Gegidze opposes the ruling team, he said he often had questions on various topics, though he would not call it a controversy.

"Our citizens have been asking questions for a long time and I have also asked questions in the majority, though that does not mean that I oppose the political force that I represent," Gegidze said.
