According to the data of January-July 2019 of the Nielsen international data analytics company, Georgian mineral water Borjomi still maintains the leading position in the Baltic Sea countries and following Latvia and Estonia, it has now become the leading brand of Lithuania’s mineral water market as well. The Georgian mineral water is competing with locally produced mineral water brands, such as Neptunas, Akvile and Vytautas.
“We are pleased with such a success and we are very proud that the 10-year consistent and dedicated efforts of the IDS BORJOMI EUROPE team has yielded such a result. Borjomi has become a market leader. It is noteworthy that Borjomi is holding significant position in all three Baltic states and maintains the favorite brand status,” said Ausra Naseviciene, CEO of IDS BORJOMI EUROPE.
The Georgian mineral water has been exported to the Baltic states for many years, though the brand's official representation, IDS BORJOMI EUROPE, was founded in 2008 and it started operation in Lithuania, Latvia and Estonia. As of today, Borjomi holds 17.5% of the mineral water market in Lithuania, 16% - in Latvia and 17.7% - in Estonia.
It is noteworthy that in addition to market leadership, Borjomi is also a favorite brand in Lithuania and Latvia. According to many surveys conducted in the Baltic countries, Borjomi has maintained the favorite water status in the imported brands segment for many years.
