A rally in support of doctor Vazha Gaprindashvili under the slogan “Love for the homeland is not a crime” has been held at the Freedom Square in Tbilisi.

Organizers of the rally issued called on international organizations to make every effort to for the immediate and safe return of the doctor.

Protesters carried banners: "Freedom for doctor Vazha ", "Love for the Motherland is not a crime", "Sokhumi and Tskhinvali are Georgia".

Georgian doctor Vazha Gaprindashvili was detained by the occupation forces on November 9 on charges of illegally crossing the so-called border and was sent to two-month custody.
