Laura Thornton : CRRC-Georgia has the full trust and support of the NDI

We know that the governmental team has some questions. I would like to emphasize that CRRC-Georgia enjoys full confidence and support from the NDI, - Laura Thornton, NDI's resident director in Georgia, said after the meeting with Mamuka Mdinaradze, the leader of the parliamentary majority.

“We had a very open, constructive and interesting meeting, we talked very openly and frankly about a lot of issues, including questions and concerns that Mr. Mamuka had related to our survey. We agreed that we will continue to discuss these issues in more details and in depth in the future. We also talked about the general complexity, mistakes, or misunderstandings, accompanying the polls and their methodology. We will continue to work closely with Mr Mamuka and his team,” Laura Thornton said.

As for the trust or distrust in the survey results, the NDI's resident director noted that the issue is more “nuanced and detailed”.

“We know that the governmental team has some questions and concerns about political issues and results. However, our polls always involve many different issues related to the environmental protection, health, economy, gender, NATO and EU support, which results do not make people distrust them and these results are very useful for our partners and for MPs, too.

We also talked about our research partner, CRRC-Georgia, and I would like to emphasize once again that CRRC-Georgia has the full trust and support of the NDI,” said Laura Thornton.
