Natia Turnava: The assessment that Bidzina Ivanishvili is the country's shadow boss is shameful and unfair

According to Natia Turnava, Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development, the assessment that Bidzina Ivanishvili is the country's shadow boss is shameful and unfair.

"I can tell you directly that this is shameful and unfair, because Mr Bidzina is the chairman of our ruling party," the Minister said when commenting on the article published by Bloomberg.

As for the lobbying companies hired by the government, Turnava said it could only be assessed positively.

"The sea of information that is being provided to the West and the whole world includes misinformation as well and this is a very good channel to tell the truth about the processes ongoing in Georgia and the reforms being implemented in the country," Natia Turnava said.

Bloomberg has published an article referring to Bidzina Ivanishvili as “Georgia’s shadow boss”. According to the article titled “Georgia’s shadow boss hires a new lobbyist in Washington”, the law firm of Hogan Lovells signed a $75,000 a month contract to represent the Georgian Dream party, which Ivanishvili founded in 2012 and runs to this day.
