Georgia is an important partner for the US and I am committed to keeping the ties strong, as we look for new areas of ​​cooperation between the two countries, - US Ambassador to Georgia Kelly Degnan says in the video message posted on the embassy's Facebook page.

For almost 30 years, the US has been proudly standing with the Georgian people. We have helped Georgia develop its democratic institutions, its rule of law, its economy and its security systems. We are helping to improve Georgia’s education and healthcare systems too, as important ways to increase the quality of life for all Georgians. There is more to be done, especially in this election year, to ensure a truly free and fair elections in October.

According to her, Georgia is highly respected by the US military, for its concrete contribution to international security and its comittment to strengthening its ability to defend its borders.
