Violation of quarantine rules to lead to GEL 3 000 fine, or house arrest

Violation of the quarantine rule is punishable by administrative rule, as well as by the Criminal Code.

According to InterPressNews, draft amendments to the Code of Administrative Offences and the Criminal Code will be submitted at tomorrow's bureau sitting.

A new article wil be added to the Code of Administrative Offences of Georgia, according to which, the violation of the quarantine rules will result in fining a natural person GEL 3 000, while a legal person will be fined GEL 15 000.As for the quarantine rules, they is approved by the Georgian government.

As for the amendments to the Criminal Code, according to the draft law, if the quarantine rules are violated by a person, who has already been subjected to an administrative penalty for the same action, will be sentenced to house arrest from 6 months to 1 year.
