Georgian citizen dies of coronavirus in New York

Paata Imnadze, Deputy Head of the National Center for Disease Control, confirmed the death of a Georgian citizen infected with coronavirus abroad. As he told reporters in the governmental administration, the citizen of Georgia died in New York.

“Unfortunately, another Georgian citizen died abroad. This is the fifth case of a death of our compatriot abroad. The recent victim is a 64-year-old man living in New York. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Embassy are in touch with the family. As in the previous case in Spain, the patient had another chronic disease together with COVID-19,” Paata Imnadze said.
