Adam Kinzinger: The fact that Georgia is occupied is enough for me to let Georgia join NATO

The fact that Georgia is occupied is enough for me to let Georgia join NATO, Congressman Adam Kinzinger said in an interview with VOA's Georgian Service.

He called Russia a weak country, which will continue creating problems.

"Russia is playing a negative role not only in terms of influence, but also in terms of creating mass instability. They know this, that's how Russia behaves. Russia is much weaker than America. They will continue to create problems. As I told European leaders in a speech to the Atlantic Council yesterday, it is time for us to be two times more involved in Georgia and not to allow Russia to bully us. The fact that Georgia is occupied is enough for me to let Georgia join NATO. We should not be intimidated by such a weak country called Russia," Kinzinger said.
