Out of 1000 customs officials, none tested positive for COVID-19

As part of the COVID-19 testing campaign of the risk groups, 1000 customs officials have been tested for the virus.

The testing took place in the following customs-houses of the Revenue Services: "Sadakhlo Saavtomobilo", "Lagodekhi", "Guguti", "Gardabani Rkinigza", "Kazbegi", "Sarpi", "Batumis Porti", "Potis Porti", "Vale", "Kartsakhi", "Ninotsminda", "Mtkvari", "Gardabani" as well as the economic zone registries of Batumi and Poti. The information was communicated to the InterPressNews by the Revenue Services.

According to the statement, no COVID-19 cases have been detected during the testing.

"The samples sent to the Lugar Laboratory have tested negative for the COVID-19. In addition, the Revenue Services notes that the person, who tested positive on 31 May, is a cleaning company employee whose tasks included sweeping and cleaning the facilities of the customs-house "Sadakhlo Saavtomobilo". The lady in question didn't have any contact with citizens, customs officials or any other employees. The testing process for the cutoms officials in customs-houses and economic zone registries continues in coordination with the Naional Center for Desease Control and Public Health.
