Funding to be reduced for Presidential Administration, Governmental, Parliament

In 2020, funding for the Presidential Administration will be reduced by GEL 750,000. The above is said in the bill drafted by the Ministry of Finance.

In addition, according to the explanatory note to the draft law, funding for the Governmental Administration will also be reduced by GEL 1 million, while the budget of the Parliament will be reduced by 4 GEL million.

As for other agencies, their funding will be reduced by GEL 1 million on the initiative of the Audit Office; capital expenditures of common courts will be reduced by GEL 8 million; capital expenditures of the High Council of Justice will be reduced by GEL 1 million; capital expenditures of the State Security Service will be reduced by GEL 1 million; expenses of the Pension Agency will be reduced by GEL 500,000; funding for the Office of the State Minister for Reconciliation and Civic Equality will be reduced by GEL 400,000; assignments for the Ministry of Finance will be reduced by GEL 12 million; assignments of the Ministry of Economy and Sustainable Development will be reduced by a total of GEL 26.6 million (excluding the GEL 485 million allocated for anti-pandemic measures); funding from the Ministry of Regional Development and Infrastructure will be reduced by GEL 251.3 million; administrative expenses of the Ministry of Health will be reduced by GEL 1.5 million; assignments for the Foreign Ministry will be reduced by GEL 3 million; assignments of the Ministry of Defense will be reduced by GEL 75 million; funding for the Ministry of Internal Affairs will be reduced by GEL 10 million; assignments of the Ministry of Agriculture will be reduced by a total of GEL 15.1 million (excluding the 139.0 million GEL for anti-pandemic measures); allocations of the Ministry of Education, Science, Culture and Sports will be reduced by a total of GEL 127.7 million; funding for the Youth Agency will be reduced by GEL 1.5 million, etc.

The draft law has been submitted to the Parliament today.
