As a result of a car accident on the Shatili road, a minibus fell from a height of 80 meters. According to current information, 12 citizens died and 3 were seriously injured, - reports the Ministry of Internal Affairs.

"Public Safety Management Center "112" of the Ministry of Internal Affairs received a report that a car accident had taken place on the Shatili road near the village of Biso in Dusheti Municipality, as a result of which a minibus had fallen on a rocky slope from a height of about 80 meters.

Upon receipt of the notification, all relevant units of the Ministry of Internal Affairs were mobilized on the spot. Patrol and criminal police crews, fire brigade and rescue teams and rescue equipment are on the site. Ambulance teams are also on the spot.

Rescue operations are being carried out in compliance with all safety norms. Rescue teams continue the rescue operation in a continuous manner, despite the difficult terrain and meteorological conditions.

According to current reports, 12 citizens in the minibus died and 3 were seriously injured. Rescuers have already evacuated the injured individuals to a safe area, where ambulances are rushing them to a hospital. The search and rescue operation of other persons in the transport continues. In addition, passengers are being identified and other operative-investigative actions are taking place. All relevant examinations are scheduled.
