Davit Bakradze: There have been no talks on posts and we would not accept it anyway

There have been no talks on posts and we would not accept it anyway, as our task is not to distribute posts, but to make crucial changes for 4 million Georgians, - Davit Bakradze, leader of European Georgia, said when commenting on the reports, according to which, the National movement offered European Georgia to support Mikheil Saakashvili as the Prime Minister in exchange for supporting Davit Bakradze as the Parliament Speaker.

According to Bakradze, the main problem is that the opposition does not have joint majoritarian candidates and not "some mythical negotiations on the lists and chairs."

“There was a public offer on the unified list, which was immediately given a negative public assessment by us, because the unified list means promoting polarization, which is already a problem in Georgia today. It would scare the voters, who do not want either Ivanishvili or Saakashvili, but want a variety of options. There have been no talks on posts, and we would not accept it anyway, as our task is not to distribute posts, but to make crucial changes for 4 million Georgians who are in a very difficult situation.

Our position is that there should be diverse choices in the country, the country no longer needs one-party rule and there should be a multi-party government. All this contradicts the unified list and our position was clearly negative from the very beginning. As for offering positions, this is a direct lie”, said Davit Bakradze.
