Mike Pompeo: We support you on democratic issues and we work together on issues related to the pain and hardship related to the occupation of your country

The whole world, including Georgia, is facing the challenge of the virus coming from China. We will deal with it together, take care of our people and develop economy, which is very important for the well-being of your country, region and world, - US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo said during a meeting with Georgian Prime Minister Giorgi Gakharia.

According to the Prime Minister's press service, Pompeo also noted that the United States and Georgia have had excellent friendly relations for 30 years.

"We have been wonderful friends for 30 years. We support you on democratic issues and we work together on issues related to the pain and hardship related to the occupation of your country. We will do our best in the future to support the process of democratization of your country, to strengthen the institutions that are important for free and fair elections, and all this comes from healthy discussion and democracy. Thank you for your hospitality. I appreciate this opportunity and I am glad to meet you," said Mike Pompeo.
