Representatives of the malls request to be allowed to open a week before December 24th, and in return to be closed during January. They held a press conference on this issue.

As Nata Gogoladze, the head of the marketing department of Tbilisi Mall, said after the press conference, if they have the opportunity to work for two weeks instead of one before the New Year, they will be able to better control the flow of customers to prevent collapse.

"We had demands that the restrictions be more loyal to us, because we believe that everything in the malls is really protected. We follow the regulations that were developed in every way and we wanted to continue working on the same regulations. That was our request. The demand from doctors was for stricter restrictions. In the end, the decision was made what sounded as mild. We prefer to open a week earlier in December instead of the 24th and we are ready to give up January in full. We are ready to close it completely in the period from January 16 to January 30, but these days can be added to us in December", - said Nata Gogoladze.

As for the possible dismissal of employees, Gogoladze says that Tbilisi Mall employs about 2700 people and the issue of their employment is decided individually by the shops.
