In Batumi, during the confrontation near the Government House of Adjara, the police arrested one person on charges of petty hooliganism, - Adjara Police Chief Kote Ananiashvili told journalists.

According to him, certain provocations were taking place on the ground.

"As part of the protest, balloons were attached to the building, which the law enforcers called for to be removed, and there was a verbal confrontation, which turned into disobedience to the lawful request of the police. We arrested one person. We are working on further details. He is arrested for petty hooliganism and disobeying the lawful request of the police. There are some provocations on the ground today, on which the police representatives have repeatedly called to maintain public order, not to enter into confrontation with the police. If they needed to clarify any issue, they should have inquired about it, not resort to violence", - Ananiashvili said.

In Batumi, protesters near the Government House of Adjara tried to block the road. They chanted: "Slaves, slaves!". The people gathered on the spot launched a balloon near the government building, where the office of the Chairman of the Government of Adjara, Tornike Rizhvadze, is located, with the inscription: "Slave, act!". They called on Tornike Rizhvadze to meet with the population and take note of their problems.
