Irakli Kobakhidze: We assure you that the opposition parties will be represented in the parliament

We assure you that the opposition parties will be represented in the parliament. Wait and see! – said Irakli Kobakhidze, Executive Secretary of the Georgian Dream - Democratic Georgia.

As Kobakhidze stated at the briefing, the previous parliament had to work in a boycott mode for a total of 2 years, which must be completed.

"We expressed our readiness to continue the talks at yesterday's briefing. Naturally, we are still ready to take the initiatives that we voiced at this briefing. As for tomorrow's session, it is up to the opposition parties to decide whether or not they will participate. If we recall the previous parliament, it carried out numerous fundamental reforms over the past 4 years, including constitutional reform, electoral system reform, the 4th wave of judicial reform, etc. The parliament, which was implementing reforms, had been boycotted for a total of 2 years. Such is, unfortunately, the nature of radical opposition. That's exactly what needs to end and will definitely end.

As for tomorrow's sitting, I cannot say who will participate and who will not, but I assure you that the opposition parties will be represented in the new parliament. Let's wait and see!” said Irakli Kobakhidze.
