Tskhinvali court sentences Zaza Gakheladze to 12 years and 6 months in prison

The so-called supreme court of occupied Tskhinvali sentenced Zaza Gakheladze, a citizen of Georgia, living in the village of Kvemo Chala, Kaspi Municipality, to 12 years and 6 months in prison, Ekho Kavkaza reports.

Gakheladze was found guilty under Article 317 of the Russian Criminal Code (violation of the life of a law enforcement officer) and Article 322 (illegal crossing of the state border).

According to the Ekho Kavkaza correspondent, the prosecution had demanded 14 years in prison for Zaza Gakheladze.
