The Georgian side uses Gakheladze’s case for propaganda and deliberate lies, - Murat Jioev, the so-called South Ossetian president's representative, said in an interview with Echo-Caucasus.
Speaking about the illegal, 12-year imprisonment sentenced to Zaza Gakheladze, Jioev said that "this is the lightest sentence."
He said that international organizations have repeatedly called on the "South Ossetian authorities" to show humanity, but they do not show such humanity when it comes to the "South Ossetian" young people, who have been missing since 2008.
"Representatives of international organizations have always called on South Ossetia to show humanity, but for some reason they do not show such humanity in relation to the young people of South Ossetia who have been missing since 2008 and international experts have clearly confirmed that they were in the hands of Georgian law enforcement agencies," Jioev said.
