A significant drop in air temperature is expected in western Georgia on March 7 and in eastern Georgia on March 8.
On March 7, it will be raining mainly in the western part of the country and snowing in the mountainous regions. Strong winds will be blowing from the west.
"Expected heavy rainfall may significantly increase water levels in the rivers of western Georgia, and contribute to the formation of snow avalanches in the mountainous areas of the country," – reads the statement issued by the National Environment Agency.
