Rally underway against Namakhvani HPP project in Gumati

A rally of persons opposing the construction of Namakhvani HPP continues in Gumati.

Protesters want to move to Namakhvani, which is not allowed by the law enforcers.

As the police chief told protesters, protesters are not allowed to enter the valley in order to avoid dangers.

Due to the restriction, the organizers of the rally made a decision to set up a tent.

According to Varlam Goletiani, a new location will be selected, where citizens will have the opportunity to stay in a tent during the curfew. Representatives of non-governmental organizations as well as the head of the Public Defender's Western Georgia Office are present on the spot.
