I think the street does not rule out parliamentary work and parliamentary work does not rule out the street. All platforms should definitely be used for the strongest opposition party, which will surely be at the forefront of victory, - Tina Bokuchava, a member of the United National Movement, told reporters after answering a question about the party's action plan.
According to her, various options are being considered in the National Movement, including the signing of the Charles Michel document and entering the parliament.
"Although we will make a decision after discussions in the United National Movement, my personal position is that we should use all platforms, including the parliamentary platform. I think that the street does not exclude parliamentary work and parliamentary work does not exclude the street. All platforms should definitely be used by the main and most powerful opposition party, which will inevitably be at the forefront of victory and without which, in my opinion, the opposition will be very underrepresented in the parliament.
Specific calls were made by our international partners, including from the Senate, as well as the EU, indicating the hope that the largest opposition party would be able to become part of this agreement. Of course, the opinion of our partners is important for us, but the most important thing is agreement inside the party," Bokuchava said.
As for the two amnesty bills, Bokuchava said that the National Movement would not support the amnesty bill, "where the perpetrators and political prisoner Nika Melia will be assessed in one dimension, no matter what wording we will see in the final bill."
