Davit Bakradze: The release of Rurua and Melia was the extent until which I did not participate in the work of the parliament and after which I will return to the parliament in accordance with the Michel document

The release of Giorgi Rurua and Nika Melia was the extent until which I did not participate in the work of the parliament and after which I will return to the parliament in accordance with the President Michel document, - said independent MP Davit Bakradze at the legislative body.

As he noted, the release of Rurua and Melia created a situation in which not only he, but also the entire parliamentary opposition could fully begin parliamentary activities.

"After meeting with President Michel, I announced that I would only be involved in parliamentary activities after the release of the political prisoners. Today Nika Melia and Giorgi Rurua are free. This stage of work has been completed and their freedom has created the conditions for the parliamentary opposition, and not only me, to be fully involved in the parliamentary activities, in order to work on all the issues faced by the population today," Bakradze said.
